The Detroit Pistons topped the Denver Nuggets 186-184 in a 3OT mile high marathon. Isiah Thomas led the victorious Pistons with 47 points and 17 assists. Nugget Kiki Vandeweghe led all scorers with 51.
Happy Birthday Haywood Jeffires! The 3x Pro Bowler and member of the famous âRun & Gunâ Offense of the early 90âs Houston Oilers led the NFL in receptions in 1991 with 100 catches! Warren Moonâs statistics that season are pretty crazy. 404 completions for 4,690 yards and 23 touchdowns. He did lead the league with 21 interceptions though.

Did you know that a 38 year old Dennis Rodman in just 12 games played for the 1999-00 Dallas Mavericks, averaged 11.2 rebounds a game? During his 29 days in Dallas he was also ejected twice & suspended once. The Mavs went 4-9 over that span.

Padres era Jack McKeon was the best! Looking just like my Uncle Stan (RIP) âTrader Jackâ was actually the General Manager and architect of the Padres club who would reach the World Series in 1984, before he took over the Manager position in 1988. Jack only lasted until the All-Star Break of the 1990 season before he pulled himself out. He lost the General Manager position just two months later.
