Hey Dudes! Did you know that former San Francisco Giants shortstop Johnnie LeMaster is one of only two players in MLB history to hit an Inside the Park Homer in their 1st at-bat?

Retired #22 - Will 'The Thrill' Clark
Happy Birthday Kevin Mitchell
Pitcher Don Robinson Could Swing The Lumber
Birthday shout out to the ‘Caveman’ Don Robinson. Don was a half-way decent hitter for a pitcher over his 15 year career. He won 3 Silver Slugger awards, and finished with a .231 batting average and 13 home runs. In 1990 he became the 1st pitcher to hit a pinch hit homer since 1971.
#00 - It's Jeffrey. Don't Call Me Jeff Leonard.
Dudes We Dig !
Jeffrey ‘Hac Man’ Leonard. 2x All-Star. Once in the National League (Giants) & once in the American League (Mariners). Loved his ‘One Flap Down’ home run trot during the ‘87 NLCS vs the St. Louis Cardinals. As of now, Hac Man is the last player to be named the Most Valuable Player of a LCS or World Series while a member of the losing team. For the series he hit .417 with 4 homers, 5 rbi’s, 5 runs, 10 hits and a .917 slugging pct.
Happy Birthday WIllie Mays!!
On This Day - 1989 World Series Game 3 Earthquake
October 17th, 1989
Can you guys name the scheduled starting pitcher for the Oakland A’s in Game 3 of the 1989 World Series? He was minutes away from taking the mound when the Loma Prieta Earthquake struck San Francisco, causing extensive damage to the city and the postponement of Game 3 for eleven days. In fact our guy never even got to throw a pitch in the series because when the Battle of the Bay resumed, Manager Tony Larussa opted to go back with his Game 1 starter, Dave ‘Smoke’ Stewart, instead of his # 3 Pitcher. Game #2 starter Mike Moore won again in Game #4, giving Oakland the sweep of the Giants.
He’s also an answer in the Blaze #10 Pop Quiz.
Hometown Heroes - Robby Thompson
Local Legend Robby Thompson. I remember being a kid and my buddy Rob W. talk a lot about how his dad went to High School with Robby at Forest Hill High in West Palm Beach, FL.
