Despite having maybe the funkiest free throw style in NBA history, Bill Cartwright, once went a perfect 19 for 19 from the charity stripe during a 124-110 NY Knicks loss to the Kansas City Kings back in November of 1981. Bill was actually a 77% free throw shooter over his 15 year career.

Happy Birthday Mase!! R.I.P.
April 28th, 1990 - Celtics Score Playoff Record 157 points!
On April 28th, 1990 the Boston Celtics routed the New York Knicks in Game 2 of their first round playoff matchup, 157-128. The 157 points is the most points scored by one team in a single playoff game. The 285 combined points between them is tied for 3rd in all time highest scoring playoff contests. The Knicks did get the last laugh though. They would come back to win the next three games to advance to the next round.
Back To Back 50 Point Games
On February 1st, 1984 Knicks legend Bernard King drops 50 pts for the second night in a row as New York beats the Spurs and Mavericks on a swing thru Texas. There are only 12 Players in NBA History who dropped 50 or more on consecutive nights. Bernard had eight 50 point plus games in his career. Who has the most?
Kenny 'Sky' Walker
Most Games Missed by a Rookie of The Year Winner
Happy Birthday Patrick Ewing. Did you know that the 1985-86 Rookie of The year set the record for most games missed (32 games) by a R.O.Y. award winner? Can anybody name the rookie runner up for that season? Thanks for looking dudes.
Happy Birthday Charlie Ward!
Happy Birthday Charlie Ward!! The only Heisman Trophy Winner to also lace em up in the NBA.
Happy Birthday John Starks
I was never really a John Starks fan as a youngster, but I did always admire his grit & determination on the hardwood. Happy Birthday John!
Rod Strickland
The New York Knicks selected hometown point guard Rod Strickland with the 19th pick in the 1988 NBA Draft. Many saw it as a confusing pick because they already had Mark Jackson at Point Guard who was reigning NBA Rookie of the Year. Rod teamed up well with Jackson but, only played a season and a half with the Knicks before they traded him to the San Antonio Spurs for Hall of Famer Maurice Cheeks. Happy Birthday Rod!
